Scramp Camp will be held at Scrapbook Island next year! They have a great new scrap room that's got plenty of room and tables - not to mention a bathroom and big TV! The hostesses had a big meeting yesterday to finalize some details and to scope out the site to see how many campers it will accommodate. We'll have enough room for 24 scrappers!
We are finalizing the cost - our plan is to have it come in at under $100 per person. Just need to do a few more calculations and we'll let you know the final price. Sign-ups will begin in January, with a deposit due by April 2nd and the balance due August 1st. Nancy will be collecting the money - but we'll give you all the information you need for that when the time comes.
We've updated the accommodation page with a list of some hotels that we recommend. There are many other hotels in the San Jose area, but since we don't have first hand knowledge we thought it best not to suggest. The costs for each hotel are listed, bear in mind this is a quote from today. Some do have early booking specials. There aren't any hotels right close to Scrapbook Island, but the ones listed aren't too far away and are fairly close to freeways to get you there quickly. Some offer free breakfast, others do not. There are links to their websites so you can check things out further.
