We will be having a card drive for Operation Write Home. This organization collects cards for service men and women overseas that they can use to send home to their loved ones.
We will be raffling off a very special prize, so if you want to win the only way to get a ticket is to donate cards to this cause.
2 pre-made cards (sent or brought to camp) = 1 raffle ticket
1 card made at camp = 1 raffle ticket
How much you wish to participate is entirely up to you!
There are specific guidelines regarding the cards - such as NO glitter. Please check out their website for further details. (click on the link above)
The cards they most request are thinking of you and love. Since it will be the end of September which is right before their deadline for Christmas cards please make some holiday cards! If you don't have any made ahead of time there will be some supplies and stamps available to use during camp.

I have a question about the card drive. If I can't attend Scramp Camp, can I still send cards and get entries into the contest for the very special prize?
ReplyDeleteYes Ruth Ann... we've decided that since our #1 priority is a huge amount of cards, we will be accepting cards from those who cannot attend also.
